Sometimes people come into your life to create a short but profound chapter in your story. Athena Grace…. a beautiful force to be reckoned with… a true and brilliant light in the world that faced down the most horrific obstacles with true “Grace” as she lived up to her name fiercely, passed away peacefully last night. 42 years young and would have done literally anything to stay here.  The strength of her spirit was breathtaking to say the least. She came to California from Italy as a last ditch effort to save her life from end stage colon cancer. I had only ever spoken to her on the phone. We had never met but I had the honor of caring for her in her first 9 days back in the US after being gone for years… It was definitely an unconventional arrangement but I have no regrets. It was one of the most intense 9 days of my life but what a humbling gift it was… After she left my home she went to other healers and then to Berkeley where she was surrounded by her incredible and loving Northern California community. In all reality she traveled from Italy so that she would be enveloped in love as she transitioned to her next journey. Fly free brave, fierce and poetic one and please come visit us in our dreams.
